Program / Project Manager PMO

Location: Reykjavík, Iceland - Deadline March 15th, 2021

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a PMO Manager. This is initially an individual contributor role, reporting to the CEO, with high growth potential.

The responsibilities of the PMO Manager include overseeing the different projects and activities happening across the organization, in the different functions; managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO; providing guidance on PMO policies and processes; managing a selected group of projects that will be assigned to the PMO Manager; collaborating with other department leaders to develop projects and programs.

It is expected the PMO Manager to contribute with other tasks associated to the transversal activities of the organization, mostly associated to quality control, finances and human resources.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects

  • Plan project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables

  • It is expected that in the short term the PMO will grow and project managers will be hired

  • Provide financial reports and budget outlines to Executives

  • Draft new and improving existing project management office policies and processes

  • Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines

  • Accurately document the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification

  • Execute other required tasks across the organization, mainly associated with financial controlling, human resources, quality assurance, safety facility management and administration

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree in Business, Administration, Management or other relevant field

  • 5+ years of experience in project management

  • International Certification may be advantageous, PMI, IPMA B, C or D

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills with the ability to lead a team and work effectively with cross shift and other departments

  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (written and oral)

  • Attention to detail to interpret requirements and produce reports
